Arts Based School Photo History Project – Summer 2013

While studying North Carolina and local history, third graders from Arts Based School visited several historic sites around Winston-Salem. The Students viewed historical photographs of Zinzendorf Hotel, RJR smoke stacks, the Belo House and others making visual comparisons between then and now. The Students then photographed the sites and developed prints. Then the students combined elements of old and new photographs creating new images that explore the changes in terrain and the differences in the way of life from past to present.
